Bringing Intensives to You

Bringing an intensive into a facility presents an opportunity for clients to engage in focused, experiential group work during their treatment episode. In-house intensives can boost motivation, help clients overcome roadblocks or plateaus, and deepen the work they are already doing.

One of the essential aspects that often gets overlooked when planning treatment intensives is the preparation and integration work. It’s important to meet the clinical team and discuss the population, the needs of the group, and the individual clients. When I can gain insight from the therapists, the intensive work is much more effective and impactful.

Additionally, staying for a day after to discuss the events of the intensive with the team is equally vital for integrating the client’s movement into the rest of the treatment episode.

I can create intensives tailored to the program and population. Below are some examples:

Impacts of substance use

Family of origin work

Intimacy and relationships

Self esteem

I’m happy to discuss additional options.
